Biography

Justin Entzminger, Innovation Director for the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins, leads the i-teams programs and works to broaden the ecosystem of innovation programs worldwide. Previously Justin served as the Executive Director for Innovate Memphis for six years, leading the innovation team for the City of Memphis as well as additional innovation projects with local and national partners. Before becoming Executive Director, he worked with Innovate Memphis to launch an Office of Performance Management within city government and served as consulting support for the Innovate Memphis neighborhood retail incubation program, MEMSHOP. In addition to the i-team work, under Justin’s leadership, Innovate Memphis grew its neighborhood data capacity to become the National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership partner for the region. Justin also led the organization of “SoCo” – a cohort of Southern cities working in local government performance and innovation.

Justin serves on the Community Advisory Board for both the University of Memphis School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy and the Department of Applied Anthropology, and is nearing the end of his first term on the Board of the Southeast Regional Development Corporation. Justin has an MBA with concentration in Entrepreneurship from Belmont University and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
