Housed at Johns Hopkins University, the Center brings world-class research into city hall and helps local government leaders find the best and most effective solutions.

Our academic programs include:

  • Public Innovation Fellowship
The new fellowship at the Center engages leading government executives and civic innovators from around the world in national and international thought leadership in government innovation. This fellowship offers practitioners who have been working in fast-paced local government contexts with the space for deep reflection and research in an academic environment.
  • Student Fellowships
These fellowships provide exceptional undergraduate students with an opportunity to work inside city hall and contribute meaningfully to priority government projects, inspiring the next generation of public servants and government leaders.
  • Bloomberg Distinguished Professors at Johns Hopkins University
Bloomberg Philanthropies has established three new Bloomberg Distinguished Professors at Johns Hopkins University, leading scholars who will contribute to the study of emerging issues in urban policy and government innovation.
