What Is Public Innovation
And Why Does it Matter?
Cities face complex challenges and high expectations from local communities. Public Innovation is a process and way of thinking that creates tangible, measurable value for community members by improving public services, policies, and governance.
It’s a rigorous approach that incorporates the best knowledge, research, data, human centered design, and civic engagement techniques to help people in public service make a positive impact on the lives of local communities.
