Terrance Smith

The Bloomberg Public Innovation Fellowship offers accomplished public innovation practitioners from the United States and abroad a two-year Fellowship at the Center. Fellows have the opportunity to reflect on their experience, develop original research and thought leadership, and actively contribute to public sector knowledge and practice. Terrance Smith and Tommi Laitio currently serve as the Center’s inaugural Fellows.

Bloomberg Public Innovation Research collaborative

The Public Innovation Research Collaborative is composed of interdisciplinary academic and research teams that advance the Center’s research agenda and address practitioner priorities. Research teams include faculty and students from Johns Hopkins University, as well as faculty and students from universities around the world.

The Summer Scholars Program

The Summer Scholars Program offers a transformative 10-week summer internship experience, where Hopkins graduate students collaborate closely with city hall on public innovation and civic engagement projects. These projects are curated to ignite students’ enthusiasm for careers in public service while addressing real-world challenges.
